River Warrior Recruitment and Pre-Orientation in San Miguel, Manila
Residents near the esteros of San Miguel, Aviles, Uli-uli, Santibanez and Concordia join the first-ever River Warrior training for 2012. The would-be River Warriors undergo a training program covering team-building exercises, water rescue and military drills. After the training, they are expected to organize clean-ups and raise environmental awareness in their respective communities.
It’s this spirit that will keep the esteros clean, and will eventually lead to the cleanup of the Pasig River. It’s this spirit that makes people heroes.
